Read on for a selection of the comments we received after the show...
“The Scribbler “gang” loved the show. It was a great location, a great mix of publishers and a great lunch! We wrote lots of orders as we feel that new designs are difficult to find at this time of year. In our opinion it makes complete sense to have a show which focuses on cards - we shall be back.”
John Proctor, co-owner of Scribbler

“It was great to have a compact show concentrating on the greeting card industry. There were quite a few newcomers or companies that we have not seen exhibiting, which is refreshing and good for the trade. We were able to find new product and begin some new business relationships. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy in spite of all the talk of recession. You did a great job and produced a great show, we'll be back!”
Bella & Eddie Lyons, owners of South African distributors and retailers, Starline
With over 170 of the UK’s best greeting card publishers exhibiting the offer was a real ‘one stop shop’ for anyone interested in buying greeting cards. The show welcomed buyers from all over the world, and all over the UK, to the exhibition.
“At last a show that is dedicated to cards! Great location, lots of passionate people, lovely product and all so well organised. Who could ask for more?”
Jo Percy, stationery buyer of John Lewis
The show format - of including refreshments and a complimentary lunch - for both visitors and exhibitors went down well. Everyone welcomed the opportunity to network over lunch or a coffee, and many also attended the drinks party which followed the first day of the show!
“Just wanted to say how much all the customers have enjoyed it. Certainly none of my lot seem to have a bad word to say. Everything and everyone seemed to be so positive and up beat, which is a real change from most of the day to day chatter. Thanks for including the agents also - it certainly put a different complexion on the show for me.”
Sarah Cowling, sales agent
So, PG Live has proved it is no ordinary trade show – we took the opportunity to do things differently, and there’s plenty more ideas in the mix for next year’s show!
